NHS or Private Treatment?

You have the choice… at your first visit, let us know which you prefer. We can discuss the merits of the various treatment options and estimate the cost for you.

Affordable private dentistry is unique to Peachcroft. Get priority appointments, clear prices, and convenient appointment times that work for you. We offer all kinds of treatments to keep your teeth healthy and looking good, whether you’re using NHS or private dental care. It’s important to regularly visit the dentist for both types of care.

Peachcroft stands out because we provide affordable private dental care alongside NHS services. Whether you need a check-up, quick help, or want to transform your smile, we make it happen without breaking the bank. We have appointments in the morning, evening, and on weekends, so you can choose when to come in. You’ll also get priority if it’s urgent, and you won’t have to wait long.

NHS Treatment

We provide the full range of treatment on the NHS including crowns, bridges and dentures allowing us to give complete dental care at the lowest possible cost.

What are the new NHS patient charges?

If you pay for NHS dental treatment, there are three standard charges. The amount you pay depends on the treatment you might need to keep your teeth and gums healthy. All charges apply to an overall course of treatment, and not the individual items within the course of treatment. You will only pay one charge for each course of treatment – even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it.

If you need more treatment within the same charge band (for example, an additional filling) within two months of completing a course of treatment, you do not have to pay anything extra.

Reflecting new charges from 2022

Band 1 course of treatment

£26.80 – This band includes examination, diagnosis (including radiographs), advice on how to prevent future problems, scale and polish if clinically needed, and preventative care (e.g. applications of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant).

Band 2 course of treatment

£73.50 – This band covers everything listed in band 1, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or extractions.

Band 3 course of treatment

£319.10 – This band covers everything in bands 1 and 2, plus course of treatment including crowns, dentures, bridges and other laboratory work.

Choice of Private Treatment

Treatment that is not allowed on the NHS will be made available to patients who request it as a private treatment. A full estimate and treatment plan will be given to you in writing before treatment commences (at your initial consultation).

It is our practice policy to collect payment of fees in advance, prior to treatment in the surgery. Depending on the course of treatment, payments may be possible in stages, but all fees due should be paid in full prior to the last appointment. We are happy to accept major credit cards.
